Product ID Fraud, at ACER

I'm writing this in this forum, in hopes that Acer representive's will see it and address the problem, as it seems that it is  impossible to find a direct email on the Acer site. If they would like to contact me, they can get my email address from my community registration. I can supply Acer with the serial number and SNID number.

Two and a half years ago (late 2010) I bought an Acer M5910 desktop computer from Sam's Club.com, setup went smooth and everybody was happy (almost). When I tried to activate Windows Office Home and Student 2007, it wouldn't accept my 25 digit PROUDUCT ID. After trying several times I gave up an got on with my life, at that time I really didn't need the software.

Things have now changed and I find myself needing Microsoft Word, so I again tried to activate the software, to no avail. My compter gave me a massive number to recite on the phone to Microsoft, so they could tell me that the number was invalid. I tried that activation method several times with the same result so I decided to call Microsoft. After several calls, I finally got someone on the line that didn't have such a heavy accent that only his or her fellow country men could understand what they were saying.

When I told the Microsoft representive my plight, he told me he was going to give me a confirmation number, which was what I needed for the software too activate. Sounds good so far, right? Wrong! Then all of the sudden he hesitated and then said, "Let me tranfer you to technical support." From what I would find out later from "Technical Support", I think he transfered me to the "FRAUD DEPARTMENT". Which ever department he did transfer me to, asked me questions like where did you get that ID number, my reply was, "from the side of my computer, everything was pre-programed in it when I bought it." After several minutes of jumping through hoops, the rep dropped the first of his three bombshells. He told me that my Office 2007 had been activated over 30,000 times, you heard me right, I said thiry-thousand times. Then of course he asked me how many times I tried to activate it. Really! Bombshell number two, he said the sofeware was first activated in 2007. Funny how Microsoft has all this information and still allows more than 30,000 activations. Bombshell number three. I asked him what I was supposed to do now, hoping he would give me a confirmation number for the software I payed for, instead he said I had two options. One, go to Sam's Club and maybe they could help me, right, or buy Office 2013 from Microsoft. Again! Really!

What really happened. Some employee at ACER stole my PRODUCT ID NUMBER when they slapped it on the side of my new computer. While trying to resolve this problem, I've seen on other forum's that this is not an isolated incident.
