Problems with internet connection other devices after purchase of Aspire V3 771G

Good evening,

After I came home and saw that my Acer Aspire V3 771G was delivered, I couldnot wait to open the package and see what Acer and Windows 8 could offer me. Everything worked great, except for one thing that did not effect the laptop, but my family members. The wireless internet connection was just gone for the other devices (Iphone, Macbook, Nokia Lumia, Sony Playstation 3 and a HP laptop)  after I shut off my the brand new acer or after I put it in sleep mode. To make the internet connection available again, I have to open up the laptop and press a key, so that it's active again, which makes the internet work for everyone in the house. Even though I am not sure this problem has occured due to the new Acer or the internet router, and I do not blame Acer for it, I assume this problem can be solved by someone with some knowledge of Acer/Windows 8.

Thanks for reading and I am hoping anyone is able to solve this soon. (Sorry for my English, I am Dutch)

I want to make sure that I'm understanding what you're saying.

All other connections to your router worked prior to the V3-771G being on the network.

After putting the V3-771G on the network (wired?  wireless?), all other connections still worked.

Turning off the V3-771G or putting it into sleep mode DISCONNECTED ALL other devices from the network.

If this is the case, it sounds like something has configured the V3-771G as an Internet Sharing Device and all of the other devices are connecting to the notebook instead of the router.

This Microsoft article might help: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/using-ics-internet-connection-sharing
