Acer Aspire 5600 Upgrade

Love my faithful computer which is starting to do some "interesting" things.  It's ready for the rest home but I don't know whether it needs a little 'doctoring' or whether it is time to move on to a replacement.

 

It is running a Q 6600   2.4GHz

The hard drive is a measly 500GB

the graphics are integrated Radeon HD 2600 Pro Graphics

I have 3 GB of RAm and am running 32bits and VIsta (which I actually quite like...)

 

I do a lot of photos and photoediting, using the Adobe's Creative Suite 5

 

I've had her a while, so she's kinda 'gunky' and loads very very slowly. 

 

Suggestions?  Can I infuse new life into her, or is it time to replace her?  

 

What do you clever people suggest?
