Acer AX3-100-EF10 - No video output after 40 minutes out of the box

Just bought a Acer AX3-100-EF10 from Futureshop in Vancouver. It is running Windows 8, and I am using an HDMI cord to connect to my monitor.

I set it up, everything runs fine, etc. I install the latest version of DirectX, even try out a game, which works fine.

I go back to the desktop, and boom, the display cuts right out, saying that there is no video signal.

I reboot, and still nothing.

I leave it for a few minutes, reboot, get some of the boot loading screens, but windows wont load at all.

After about 10 reboots, I get a Windows Recovery screen, which gives me the option of booting in Safe Mode. It loads windows, but then shuts down after 1 minute.

Is this a heating issue? Drivers?

Tried on a different monitor and seems to work fine.

So the question is, why is the toshiba display conking out after a few minutes?
