Iconia W500 Windows 8 upgrade

Hi All,

 

I just wanted to let everyone know of my experience in upgrading the Iconia W500 to windows 8 from windows 7.

 

The biggest issue that I had was getting the bluetooth to work correctly. The drivers provided did not work for some reason and when I installed the most current version of the bluetooth driver the bluetooth device itself did not show up.

 

The trick is to not install the bluetooth suite but to update Windows 8 with its current updates. After the initial Windows 8 update after a fresh installation the bluetooth driver was able to get detected.

 

Just a little tip and I hope this saves alot of time for all of you who are suffering from the same problem.
