T232HL multiple problems and a warranty question.

Hi all.

When I first turned on the T232HL I immediately noticed there is a small object of some kind under the glass panel -- if you look at angles you can clearly see under it, which I let slide since I liked the monitor so much and didn't want the hassle of returning it. However I think I should have given it may have been a blatant indication of an item that failed Q.A.

A darkish patch has appeared, which is visible at a distance and with a bright screen. I've cleaned it, and it's really behind the glass. Annoyingly, it's just right of the center of the screen and sort of arcs like a semi-circle.

To make matters worse, I've noticed a few dead pixels which were not there when I first turned it on and they seem to be increasing in number over time. A quick count gives me maybe 8 right now.

The monitor also gets disturbingly hot in the top right hand corner at the default settings of 100% brightness and 50% contrast. Lowering the brightness helps somewhat.

The only worry I have now, since I'm sure this item is defective, is that I've scratched the front when I was positioning the monitor. Part of my clothing seems to have rubbed against it making two light marks and one more obvious one. They are all superfical in terms of depth. Would that cause any problems with a warranty claim given that all these problems have nothing to do with the scratches?

Many thanks for any help,

Anwer

    Hello,

Sorry to hear about the monitor display issue. Always best to report an issue since you said you noticed something just after purchase. Never heard of an object under the glass panel.

Suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

The technicians will be able to assess the problem you describe to seem spreading in size which might be from damage.

    Good day.
