Hi, I have just purchased the Iconia W510 with the detachable keyboard. Which is great as when I'm travelling use just the tablet saves space.

I note there is a power supply for the keyboard, but is it possible to charge the tablet using the USB port on the tablet? Is it would be a pain to have to drag the keyboard around just to be able to charge it.

Thanks.

Thought the reason was that the W510/W3 need 12v to charge, nott the 5v you get from a USB.

So is it possible to get a 12V USB charger? (I don't want to blow it up, as I've had it less than a week!)

If you need a mobile (12v) charger you have two choices for the 510/511. Either cut the cord on a power supply and add a 12v connector or buy a 12v>110v inverter (80W or better).

Unfortunately Acer used a propietary connector that is unobtanium except for the Acer charger.
