Windows 8 can't recover

I upgraded from Windows 8 OEM to Windows 8 Pro, we are evaluating the Aspire S7 to see if we want to start purchasing them for our university. The upgrade went fine, but after I joined the domain the wireless quit working. I decided to see if a simple reboot would fix it, and now I just have a black screen with the Acer logo and it won't boot into windows. I tried the Alt + F10 thing - it does not work. I booted from a bootable usb with win 8 on it and tried to do a refresh/restore and it won't work. I did get a chance to choose between Windows 8 Install and Windows 8 - if I chose install it fails, if I choose Windows 8 it just reboots back to the same 2 choices every time. Is there a way to wipe the drive and reinstall? So far any attempts to install results in a booting to my desktop with a "failed to install Windows" message - and the desktop it boots to doesn't actually work, it just crashes.
