Hello all

Two days ago, I bought an Aspire v3 571G  notebook.

I`m not familiar with windows so I changed the boot priority to  1. CD/optical  drive and disable safe boot in the bios, so that I can install an another operating system on this notebook.

Installed FreeBSD on this machine.

This works for one day, but now I cannot boot or enter bios. The green acer logo apears on screen when I boot but nothing happens else.  F2 to enter bios does not work as well. ¨

I tried to reconnect power or battery. but nothings works

regards.

karim

    Hello

You mention you have a Aspire v3 571G that does not show the bios with F2 key.  I can tell you that you have to tap the F2 key very very (doubled very word on purpose!) fast to be able to acces bios.

Also you mention that you changed OS FYI Acer only supports the unit the way it was manufactured and cannot offer support for changed OS.  The change in OS should however not have affected your access to the BIOS via F2.

    Good day.
