Driver issues on windows 8

Hi,

I upgraded my windows 7 Acer Aspire S3-391 to windows 8 using the $14.99 upgrade deal that came with the laptop. I have now downloaded the drivers listed at http://www.acer.com.au/ac/en/AU/content/drivers.

Since then my internet connection has been flaky requiring wireless to be disconnected and reconnected regularly. Also, after about 5 hours of usage the mouse touchpad stopped working completely (no response at all). I tried rebooting, reinstalling the driver and rebooting but it still doesn't work. A USB connected mouse is working fine at the moment.

Please help me with this issue.

Thanks

On your previous post, aceruser suggested using the Windows 7 wireless driver instead of the Windows 8.

Have you attempted to use that driver?

Regarding the touchpad, have you used the hotkey to enable/disable the touchpad?

Is the touchpad still showing in Device Manager?

If the touchpad is no longer showing in Device Manager, please contact Acer Service and Support.
