What a nightmare this is.
I have an Acer XC600
I'm having the problem where the USB creation hangs within the last few %, so I've tried the fix recovery partition patch which has been mentioned on here before, and had no luck.
Acer support told me to run through the recovery process as this should also fix the recovery partition, but this is telling me that the recovery parition has files missing and to provide install media.
I was able to create a recovery CD, which is a 200mb ISO that created a boot cd, but that then just asks for the original install media.
Acer live chat have just told me they are now going to send me a recovery USB.
Simple solution to all this, why cant they simply include a standard Windows DVD in the box??!
