wireless keyboard

I have a kg-0917 wireless keyboard (and mouse) that came with my Revo 3610.  Is it bluetooth?  I want to use it with my iPad, (without its dongle, obviously).

The iPad appears to recognize it, showing "HS Keyboard" in the Bluetooth Devices list.  However, when I click on it and press the "connect" button on the back of the keyboard, nothing happens.

The FCC ID summary shows that the frequency is in the Bluetooth range (2400 - 2480 MHz)

I suppose this means that the USB dongle is mandatory.

Any workaround to this?  Can I emulate the USB dongle in any way on the iPad?  Would be great if I could just use a single keyboard around the house.

Thanks in advance for your help.
