Sehe ich auch so! Gerade weil der Prdator ja auch die Möglichkeit bietet, die CPU upzugraden. Aber damit lässt sich anscheinend kein Geld machen. Sehr schade! Ist aber leider ein generelles Problem bei Notebooks. Ich vermute, bei einem anderen Hersteller werden wir ebenso schlecht bedient.

The Predator 500 with Ryzen is equipped with a Ryzen 2700 and a Vega 56. There are no other AMD options. I own one, and it is a realy cool machine! ;-)

Except Frostpunk, TwD, Fortnite and some C&C I don't have any other games at the moment. So Tomb Raider is my only performance-hungry game yet. Until last month I had just a Switch and a PS4, so my PC game collection is a bit limited. ;-)

Ok, the first test with Afterburner looks like he's not keeping the settings. Some look like they're being taken over, others reset (especially the Mhz). He seems to accept the voltage. But I haven't tested any further whether this is really the case.

I'll try that. I red about it, but didn't install it yet. Today I have a litle time for that.

For fun again in gamemode with only 4 cores, 1 V and 3.500 Mhz.

Ok, now I played a bit with ryzen Master and changed CPU Voltage (undervolting) and each core speed (overclocking). Both at the same time three times. The first one with voltage 0.975 and core speed with 3.300 Mhz. That worked well. The second try was with 0.95 and 3.500. At that setting the system crashed. Third try was…

I've had little experience with that. For the CPU I can say that I can overclock. I didn't find the setting for the GPU. Examplre for the CPU:

I played Tomb Raider a bit longer now. 50 minutes with fan on auto and 30 minutes on max. The temperature of the CPU at auto never went above 78 centigrade. At max it went down to well below 60. The GPU stayed at auto always around 70 and at max down to about 51 centigrade. All in all I am very satisfied.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to play. Maybe on the weekend.

I'm afraid the AMD version won't be rolled out anymore. In Germany it is not longer listed with Notebooksbilliger. Not even for preorder. Otherwise, it is apparently nowhere else to get. For USA I wouldn't have high hopes. But for sure only Acer knows (maybe).
