This patch released yesterday on Windows Update should help you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2903939 Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2-based computer never enters a DRIPS (Deepest Runtime Idle Power State) "When a device that is reported by the power engine plug-in (PEP) is not registered with the…

it's a Google's bug.

Uninstall the Intel and Nvidia drivers provided by Acer, reboot, then open Windows Update to get the latest drivers.

1. Uninstall the useless Bluetooth software/driver provided by Acer because Windows 8 has a native support for Bluetooth. 2. When you're in the Start screen, just type bluetooth and turn it on.
-
I've also noticed that Acer has installed a bloated driver of about 200 MB just to handle the bluetooth. This software is completely useless because Windows 8 has a native support for bluetooth!

For what reason Acer doesn't include a copy of Windows 8 on CD together the PC? Nobody makes recovery disks and Acer recovery system has never helped a single person.

I have uninstalled all the useless software preinstalled by Acer, but Windows Update is still very slow to find updates and very slow to install updates. My 5 years old PC, which runs Windows 8 Pro retail version, is faster than this new Acer notebook. The Windows 8 OEM version preinstalled by Acer is pure bullsh1t, it's…

In the original NVIDIA package you can uninstall the Geforce Experience/Updater, but in the ACER modified package you can't do it!
-
I know these commands, but I would like to have a better installer from Acer where I can remove this useless and unsafe component with a single click
-
Geforce Experience is installed by default and it's impossible to remove it due stupid Acer driver customization (I use the VGA drivers provided by Acer). An hidden user UpdatusUser with SYSTEM priviledges is also created and this may cause security issues to the whole OS
