Will this factory reset the BIOS?
-
Hi @Easwar , my laptop is a Predator Triton 500 PT515-52 (that's off the top of my head).
-
Oh ok, so it only applies to headphones connected in the laptop's mini-jack? I have SteelSeries so I guess I won't be using it then.Thank you for the clarification :)

I found this one that may work but it's very expensive: https://www.pcadaptersdepot.co.uk/chicony-ac-adapters-c-122_118/original-230w-acer-predator-pt51552-ac-adapter-charger-p-389772.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiNmbwcmz7wIVkud3Ch3Q9wpVEAQYASABEgKfY_D_BwE

I have now got a 2TB SSD in the 2nd slot, and the original 1TB in the first slot, they both work fine independently, after pressing Ctrl+S in the Main tab in the BIOS and setting it to AHCI.

I have the same question, I need a backup power adapter and I can literally find it nowhere. No one seems to be selling the exact adapter for this laptop, not even Acer.

Thank you both, between the two of you my question is answered. I have managed to set the laptop to AHCI mode, so new SSD should theoretically work fine.

Thanks @egydiocoelho, that part is unclickable. However... I tried Ctrl+S again on the main tab, and now it worked for some reason. So there, I have AHCI, Optane without RAID, Optane with RAID.If I set AHCI, I get an 'INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE' blue screen. I set it to Optane without RAID and I can boot into Windows again.…

Hi @AnhEZ28, thank you for your reply.I tried Ctrl+S in the BIOS, it doesn't do anything. Does it only work if a second SSD is installed? Also will it work fine if the second SSD is a different capacity to the existing system SSD?

I tried the Dell WD19TB dock and it works perfectly with my Triton 500 over Thunderbolt. Two monitors connected to the dock, one via DP, the other via HDMI, both working. I only tried them for productivity, not gaming so not sure about gaming & graphics issues.I did look at the CalDigit dock which seems to be popular (for…
