One thing, though, if it's "Chicony" according to @billsey , why is it listed as "Intel" in MS Windows device list? I've tried to google it, and no luck, there is nothing: https://www.google.com/search?q=CJFKF28+linux Here is the info from MS Windows device list: Intel(R) ADL AVStream Camera DISPLAY\INT3480\4&2DED5861&0&UID144512 VIDEO\VEN_8086&DEV_46A6&SUBSYS_16131025&REV_0C&INT3480 VIDEO\VEN_8086&DEV_46A6&SUBSYS_16131025&INT3480…

Regarding Secure Boot, it's tricky… I believe it is not officially supported
-
Thanks for you info, @billsey So … I bought the laptop :) In fact, it did boot POP_OS without issues even with the default BIOS settings, I just disabled Secure Boot. Anyways, since it is a laptop, closed, just one nvme bus, no possibility of actually using multiple storage devices (so any RAID), I disabled VMD in BIOS and…

Hmm, OK, I will try to investigate further. I am using the simpler systemd-boot (https://support.system76.com/articles/bootloader/#efi-boot---pop_os-systemd-boot), not GRUB. I do not remember how it was before I made it dual-boot… Thanks for your comments.

Hello everyone, disabling F12 does not resolve the issue, as I said, when bootable USB flash is inserted, it automatically somehow makes itself the first bootable device. setting "user password" and protecting the boot process itself is not an option either, as I said, I do not want to have windows updates making the…

yeah, this is what I would like to have, too, USB not to magically be the first device to boot…

I have the same issue, do not know why it has stopped working. I do not thing it's related to Windows update, since it is not working any more on GNU/Linux either :/ Any solution?

I have the same issue, do not know why it has stopped working :( any solution?

@Commodore_1995# ?

Hello, it has happened to me, too :( I have opened it, checked the connector 18 and it looked OK. It has 4 pins, there is 5V on pins #2 and #4 (from the left) and no measured voltage on the other two. Is this OK? Does it mean the keyboard backlight itself got broken somehow?
-
@Coqui13 No update possible, there is already V1.10 @billsey Nope, it is not, because, as you may see, we are talking about systemd-boot, not about GRUB, I am not using GRUB at all so even if there was an issue there, it is irrelevant for what I am reporting. So, this still remains unsolved without known solution, we do…

OK, here are some good results: * touchpad being solved here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1884232 (temporary workaround available) * touchscreen - see above ^ * Switching to SATA AHCI mode via CTRL+S while in Main tab in BIOS works and solves issue 3. If you change modes remember to prepare OS…

WOW, that seems to be it, thank you! This secret key combo allows you two things: * switch SATA to AHCI mode - have not tested yet (OS Windows has to be prepared for this first via some registry tweaking, otherwise it won't boot) * switch touchpad to older standard PS/2 mode instead of I2C - this makes touchpad working…

* use task manager to find out what processes cause the CPU to work that hard * do not use your laptop on soft surfaces like blankets, pillows etc - it needs to ventilate smoothly
