I have read the stickers on the AC adapters and compared the voltage etc. before trying the other one though and from what I could tell it was the same. I checked the computer jack and the pin seems to be straight…

Thanks for the suggestion Sharanji. I have tried using a different AC adapter but it does not charge the battery either, still no lights.
