Brightness control malfunction (ASPIRE V5 - 122P Dual Core, AMD4)

Hi. I own an Aspire V5-122p netbook and I recently upgraded my OS from windows 8 to windows 10. My problem is that the brightness control does not work and this has been existing prior to the windows 10 upgrade. I tried to adjust the brightness using both the Fn keys and brightness bars in settings but to no avail. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thank you.
