brand new Acer Aspire V11 touchscreen not working

I got a new Aspire Touch V3-112P and the touchscreen does not work at all - on the computer details it says no pen or touch available but it is a touchscreen laptop.

 

I have reset to factory settings (on advice from Acer support) but they are now closed until Tuesday and it has made no differnce. Still no option for pen or touchscreen.

 

Can anyone help please?

    Since it's brand new, can you return it to the vendor for an exchange or refund?

    The vendor may be the quickest solution. You've already tried erecovery without results. So, from afar, it suggests a hardware issue. If it were mine, I wouldn't mess with it any further.
