Acer Aspire Aspire E1-510 sodimm ram ddr3l 2nd socket missing on motherboard

i have Acer Aspire E1-510-35204G50Mnkk, and one socket of 4gb ram memory, i would like to upgrade with another 4gb of memory but physically there is no second socket for so dimm ddr3l ram memory on motherboard. there is place for it on motherboard, but no socket to plug the ram in.

can i, and where buy second socket , that metal thing to mount on motherboard and to use also second ram memory?

    The second slot was an option on some E1-510 variants. Whether you can simply retrofit a second socket is difficult to say as there may be additional components required.

     

    However, the easier solution would be to simply replace your existing 4GB RAM with an appropriate 8GB RAM (which is the maximum for the single socket on your machine). (One and two slot variants both have a max RAM of 8GB.)

    actually i think my current memory is working on 1333mhz, in specs is written 666, i guess its that, so i may also use 1600mhz ddr3l sodimm, single channel?
