Ans: Adaptec has no plan to develop OpenServer driver for its U320 SCSI controller
2.Is there any workaround if customer wants to install OpenServer on these platforms?
Ans:The add-on LSI Logic U160/U320 SCSI cards are recommended if customer wants to install the OpenServer <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />5.0.6 on these platforms. Please also disable the onboard SCSI when you install OpenServer 5.0.6.
For RAID solution, please use LSI Logic MegaRAID U160 RAID controllers, such as Elite 1600/Express 500. The U320 RAID controller drivers for OpenServer/UnixWare are not ready yet (still in beta and not qualified)
3.Where could I find the OpenServer Driver for LSI Logic U160/U320 SCSI controllers?
Ans:The related drivers are included in the EasyBUILD Resource CD.
