Aspire V5-473P-6459 LCD replacement without changing the digitizer

Hey Guys,

After an unfortunate fall my Aspire V5-473P-6459 has a damaged LCD screen. The digitizer seems to work fine so I ordered the replacement LCD screen only. (http://www.screencountry.com/index.php?section=products&model=ASPIRE%20V5-473P-6459&brand=Acer)

When I tried to remove the old screen, I expected to find four screws holding the screen in, but instead there are plastic covers overtop of the metal tabs on the LCD screen. I have removed all the wiring, but I cant figure out how to get the screen out of this plastic casing.

Does anyone have any experience with this, how hard is it to replace the LCD but keep the digitizer, are they always glued together, is it more work than its worth to try save it? I cant find much info online for the V5-473P so any help would be appreciated, thanks!
