Hello! I've upgraded BIOS to 2.11 and installed Windows 10 on my Acer V3-571G. It works good but it would work even better if I'd have more RAM. I installed CPU-Z and here's my specification about memory:

I'd like to ADD at least 4 GB of RAM so I can have 8GB in total. I need to know is it possible to get RAM with higher frequency and will it work in my laptop. For instance can I remove current RAM (which is 800MHz) and install 2x4GB 1600 MHz? If not then what is max amount and speed of memory I can get? Id like to get a memory with better CLs if possible, can I do that?

Thank you, merry Christmas!

    Hello,

    Your laptop supports up to 16Gb - DDR3 - 1600MHz (2x8Gb).

The frequency is 800MHz because it works in single channel 1600/2 (in dual channel 1600MHz).

See the datasheet of your laptop.

    I wish you a Merry Christmas!Smiley Happy

Thank You! Do You know what type of memory I have in the laptop right now? Is it 1600 MHz or 800 then? Not sure do I need to buy 2 RAMs or just one. This one seems to have low CLs (11/11/11) so maybe I should buy 2 RAMs anyway...

    Hello,

You see 800MHz because you only have one memory module of 1600MHz.

It works in single channel 1600/2=800MHz.

The frequency will be 1600MHz with two memory modules and they willwork in dual channel.

PC3-12800=1600MHz in dual channel. I suggest you to buy the same memory module of 4Gb:
