Immediately after laptop boots message appears "Bluetooth Stacker has stopped working". There are two options 1) Search the web for solution and close the program 2) Close the program. Selecting option 1 is pointless. It provides no solution or information on the problem. I've tried all solutions provided by Windows Help. I've also deleted the "Bluetooth Win 7 Suite (64) and drivers. after relaoding both the software and drivers the same error occurs. I cannot connect to any Bluetooth device without encountering the error. Is there a solution? If not, is there other software available that will work with the Atheros Wireless Network Adaptor included with the Aspire 5742?

Since the latest driver did not fix my problem, I reloaded the operating system, programs and drivers. The bluetooth is now functioning properly.

Can you please provide the exact error message, perhaps in a screen capture?

Have you checked the Windows log files for any errors?

Do you get this error in Safe Mode?
