I was having the jumping to the corner of the screen issue on my W500 with Windows 7 and loaded the touch screen firmware (From ACER site) as specified in Document ID: 9780 "How can I prevent the cursor on my Acer Iconia Tab W500 from intermittently jumping to the corner of the screen?".

As soon as the install completed, the touch screen stopped working. After resetting the W500, the touch screen still does not work. The W500 has been powered off and reset multiple times and the touch screen does not work after the firmware update.

Has anyone else had issues after updating the touch screen firmware (Firmware Acer Firmware (Touch Panel Firmware Updater) 1007.2005 1,022.8 KB 2012/03/15)?

The updater will not flash the firmware a second time (says it is updated already), anyone have a pointer to an older touch screen firmware file?

I believe that you will need to contact support and let them know exactly what happened after the firmware update.
