Windows Mixed Reality Headsets Will Not Work With Latest Windows 11 Update (24H2)

Windows Mixed Reality Headsets are not compatible with the Microsoft Windows Update 24H2. Your Windows Mixed Reality Headset will continue to work with Steam through November 2026, if you remain on the current released version of Windows 11 (version 23H2) and do not upgrade to this year’s annual feature update for Windows 11 (version 24H2).

If you have already installed Windows Update version 24H2, you can uninstall the latest Windows Update to allow your headset to continue working in Windows 11.
