Why is my notebook or netbook typing numbers instead of letters?
Due to the smaller size of most notebook and netbook keyboards, the number pad keys are layed over the normal letter keys. While the Num Lock feature is enabled, pressing these keys will yield the number pad variant of that key function, instead of the normal letter.
To resume the use of the letters on the keys, disable the Num Lock feature.
Note: For most notebooks and netbooks, the Num Lock feature can be enabled and disabled by pressing Fn+F11.
