Acer H277HU does not show video when connected via USB-C

Why does my Acer H277HU show a black screen or flash when connected to a USB-C port?

If your monitor does not have the latest firmware, it may flicker or show a black display when plugged into a computer or phone that supports USB-C video output. A firmware update has been released to resolve this issue. This firmware update can only be applied at Acer service centers. Please contact our Customer Service for additional support, if you experience this issue.
