The image from a distance seems fine. The different fonts look like they should. Can't tell much from the close-ups. It might be helpful to see what a full screen of text looks like from a distance the NotePad application.

Open Device Manager. If no red or yellow warning, expand the monitors folder. Post screenshot if possible.

I wonder if somehow this also changed the BIOS firmware CPU behavior on a cold reboot? The fans should still ramp down after an initial surge.

CPU seems too warm for doing virtually nothing other than initializing some i/o devices, running firmware & display, even at 2GHz. Fans should've already backed down to <2000 rpm after a few moments. OK. If you tap F2 on startup to get to the BIOS menu, the fans should initially switch to high speed and be noisy. After a few moments the fans should slow down and be barely audible. Do the fans remain quiet if you stay in the BIOS menu for about 15 minutes?

After a cold reboot?
