Saisie de caractères spéciaux avec raccourcis clavier

Bonjour,
J'utilise un Aspire S7 sous Windows 8.1. Je voudrais saisir des caractères spéciaux (comme par exemple des majuscules accentuées : À É etc.) simplement et rapidement, avec des raccourcis clavier, sans utiliser l'utilitaire car c'est assez long à l'usage. Mais les combinaisons de type "ALT + chiffres" ne fonctionnent pas. Comme je n'ai pas de pavé numérique, la combinaison testée est en fait : ALT + MAJ + chiffres.
Voyez-vous la source du problème et connaissez-vous une solution ?

    En ce qui concerne les fonctions, je pense qu’elles ne peuvent pas être modifiées par des moyens conventionnels.

    Non, il  n'y a pas de FUNCTION KEY BEHAVIOR dans le Bios.

    La modification de la langue du clavier peut également modifier les fonctions de certaines touches. Avez-vous essayé d'utiliser une autre langue?

    Oui, j'ai essayé d'utiliser une autre langue. Je lis sur des pages d'aide que les raccourcis claviers des caractères ASCII ne peuvent se faire qu'avec le clavier numérique.

    Je pense vraiment qu'il n'est pas possible de changer ces fonctions d'une manière simple.
