If you're having trouble locating your mouse cursor or want to quickly point out something on your screen, you can use the Find My Mouse feature in Microsoft PowerToys.
How to quickly locate your mouse cursor on your Windows PC
- Ensure Microsoft PowerToys is installed. If it's not, you can download it from the Microsoft Store or via GitHub.
- To quickly locate your mouse cursor, double tap the left Control key on your keyboard.
- When double tapped, a spotlight will appear around your cursor.
- To remove the spotlight, press or tap any key.
To change the keyboard shortcut used for Find My Mouse
- Open Microsoft PowerToys.
- On the left side, locate and select Input & Output.
- In the expanded menu, select Mouse Utilities.
- On the right side, under Find My Mouse, locate and select the Activation method dropdown.
- Choose from the provided options or select Custom shortcut.
- If Custom shortcut is selected, you'll see a default keyboard shortcut appear. Select the pencil icon to edit and change the shortcut used.
