  • The article posted by Acer-Tommy above refers to a fix that has worked for me. In my case it was not enough simply to tighten the screws - it kept shutting off when I did that. I had to undo screws and then re-tighten them all the way. I haven't had an unexpected shutdown since I did that.

  • Thanks very much for replying. The option is currently checked and grey, as you say, which is why I cannot uncheck it. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the rest of what you said means. I am not that computer literate and have no idea how to do anything with the registry.
