  • I'd definitely recommend changing the thermal paste, It'd solve your problem. I believe that Acer used a sh*tty thermal paste that deteriorate quite quickly.

  • @Ẩ3601 I’ve been using it for a year now. All good, I’ve never experienced any problem with the Nitro 5 ever since i bought it. (Apart from the very high cpu temp under load) i’d say that you should go for it, get the 2019 edition that comes with GTX1660 
  • It's possible to set up an external GPU, but it has a very limited performance due to the amount of data that can be transmitted via USB 3.0 Port.
  • I'm currently using Nitro 5, and I gotta say that when underload, the CPU temp get extremely hot, everyone advised me to repaste the CPU and GPU with a better Thermal paste since the stock paste is pretty bad I guess.
