  • THANK YOU brummyfan2 I uninstalled the trial version AV and now use Windows Defender, I also disabled Fast Start-up and have not had a surprise shutdown for a week now :) VERY happy!!!
  • I had the same problem with TWO Acers. Found this suggestion on this website, and it worked!! "uninstall any trial version AV programs(if any) installed and use Windows Defender, disable Fast Start-up " Not sure which one worked, or if you need to do both.
  • Would contacting Acer be any good? I contacted the store where I purchased my new Aspire E15, after taking back the first one with the SAME ISSUE, and they told me to contact Acer.....! Either I am incredibly unlucky, or this is a problem they need to address :( So disappointing buying a new laptop and having issues after…
