i didn't do an upgrade, but wiped and installed win7 from scratch. shouldn't make a difference tho, right? it did work in XP (which was the installation the laptop came with). it is not disabled either. the diagnostic tool correctly identifies the button to be the issue. but pushing it does nothing. is there a trick with…

yes, it's listed there. i uninstalled it and got the latest version from intel (acer doesn't offer it on the x64 page). no success. the launch manager seems to control all the other buttons like P, e, browser etc, but doesn't mention the wifi button (or bluetooth). acer update doesn't find any updates. thx for your help!
