  • Yes I can attest to that as well. Ihave taken any and all tension away from the video cables (both at the monitor and computer) as well as the power cabling. No difference and worst still no answer from ACER...
  • Acer-Cory - there are multiple users essentially saying the same thing about the X34. It is advertised as being able to reach 100Hz via a selection on the monitor itself. Then when you get the monitor that is not the complete picture - you also have to select this via Nvidia GeForce Experience and possibly again via…
  • Well you are doing better than I am . 85 is the best and many are having the same issues. Worse still is that Acer technical support is abysmal. They don't have any clue. You can try to call them but good luck. Some would even suggest it is your cables. If you have a good quality current VESA standard DisplayPort cable (as…
  • I would check the input slection on the monitor - I have to tell it HDMI or Displayport - at least today when I was experimenting with the monitor I had to go into the settings and and tell it what video input that it was being fed. Good Luck
  • So for those who are experiencing the same issues (that being one of OC your X34) let me summerize what I have done to achieve 85Hz. My system is new Asus Rampage V Extreme 3.1, i7 5820KCPU 3.30Ghz Video Card is a GeForce GTX980 Ti Amp from ZOTAC....64GB OF ddr4 Memory with a Win 10 64bit OS. Monitors I have are 2…
  • I am aslo having similar issues with my X34. In fact Tech Support said that the only way 100Hz was achievanle was via HDMI. Further he said that his set up using the X34 used a 2.0 HDMI UHD cable. So like an ***** I bought a new cable without reading here. I can report that it was a set backward and now I am at 50Hz and no…
  • Well according to ACER Technical support HDMI is overclockable to 100Hz via HDMI. In fact the tech I talked to stated his was set up with this and worked fine. So I tried it and via a PC all I can get is 50Hz with no selection to OC.
  • Whatever you do...don't call their tech support because they are clueless. When I asked them (twice in case I got someone who was the village *****) they told me Windows 10 doesn't need them as the monitors will be recognized as generic PnP and that was fine. I have 2 XB27OHU's and 1 X34 Predator. I tired to use the 8.1 64…
  • I appreciate your help BTW so after hours of screwing around with this I have currently a 85HZ FPS on all three monitors. and only after I loaded the 8.1 64 Windows driver from Acer for the X34. BTW I can't load any driver for my other displays from Acer...weird but true (I think it is a window recognition issue) otherwise…
  • I also tried to go from 3 to 2 to just the X34 and it will not go above 60Hz. I also tried the X34 and the supplied 3 foot cable. I also did a full reboot as I changed the cables.....still at 60Hz.
  • Same results using the 3 foot cables. I too have read an article on shorter and thicker cables are better at higher frame rates. However I have been running on 144Hz on my other 2 monitors while my X34 is a black hole (the LED light works) with 10 foot cables now as well as prior to the X34 purchase. I have also varied the…
  • I am also having the exact same issue. I have 3 monitors 2 of which are the XB270HU both of which runn at 144Hz with no issues on 10 foot Cable Matters Gold Plated Display port cables (I now have 3). However the new monitor (X34) only operates at 60Hz with the exact same symptoms as previiously described. These cables are…
