  • Thanks for replying. The data corruption issue mentioned in the link you posted is definitely food for thought going forward. At present, however, you will note that my original post makes clear that we have delayed getting the v.2004 major update; thus, it is not an issue at this time. My question remains. Does anyone…
  • One reason it may not show up in the usual way is that the old drive has been disabled in the system BIOS/UEFI. Consult your instruction manual for which key to press during startup to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup screen. In there you can check if the missing drive is enabled or disabled. If you can't fix it you may wish to…
  • By the way, i just checked the "Camera" app in Windows 10 and noticed that it also mirrors my image. Can't help wondering why they all do that?
  • First, let me mention that when we use Zoom, Facebook Messenger, and HouseParty (a new one that we find very easy to use), they all show a mirror image. Here's a silly idea you might try just for fun. Sit behind your camera and hold a mirror in front of the camera so you can see the computer screen and camera. The mirror…
  • Worked for me on Windows 10 v. 1909. The Registry key on my E5-575G is slightly different (instead of D71 mine says D70, but it is named "HDAudBus" and its value was 0 so i changed it to value 1 and rebooted the laptop. Problem solved. System Interrupt cpu usage dropped from a range of 9% - 20%, down to 0.2% - 2%.
  • No. There is an M.2 slot on the Aspire E575G, but it's for a SATA type SSD, not NVMe. I have an Aspire E5-575G, and it came with a 128GB M.2 SATA III SSD plus a 1TB Seagate 2.5-inch HDD 9regular spinning hard drive). The combination works very well. The system feels quick and snappy even though the SSD doesn't have NVMe…
  • SSDs do Read or Write tasks in parallel across all of the flash memory chips on the drive. The 500GB model has more flash memory chips, thus it can search for (Read) or save (Write) more locations all at once. It should not be slower than a 128GB SSD. Another thought that occurred to me is to wonder if the laptop has some…
  • Yes, here's the answer. First, it's useful to understand that the April 2018 update for some users caused a partition which should normally remain hidden to become visible, and Windows automatically assigned it a drive letter. This partition, which is nearly full, then provokes Windows to repeatedly warn you of low disk…
