  • I wanted to be able to boot into a USB waswhile keeping chromeOS on the hard drive which I was successful
  • actually it turns out there are 3 ways to remove wp by screw, switch or by removing the battery once I did that it worked so I solved the issue.
  • are you saying edit the gpt of an iso on a different pc and then make a bootable usb from that image?
  • im running gnu/linux not windows so i'd have to use an alternative to rufus. are you saying to edit the gpt on the usb?

  • i had ubuntu installed on the hard drive originally but i was installing a driver for my printer and didnt realize it wanted to uninstall 1770 packages until it inevitably ran into errors and rather than try to fic it i decided to install a new os but found out i wouldnt be able to boot back into ubuntu e

  • i cant edit the gpt unless i could detect the drive. i remember setting the bios password for her but it was a couple years ago. ive also tried to boot into the usn through grub but it says there is an invalid efi file system but when i unplug the hard drive and boot it works fine
  • the only way i can boot from a usb is by unplugging the hard drive which is internal so its not practical and then once ive booted from the usb the hard drive wont be detected. i assume its a theft deterrent? if you guys know how to make it detectable then i dont really need to reset the bios. im booting from a live kali…
