Sure enough, it was the battery that was faulty. Bought a new one for $80 and its working again. For all that are using this laptop, I'd advise you to open it up and clean the fans. They were caked on even with the "dust defender." Only noticeable by opening it up.

I bought it about 2 years ago. Yes I did uninstall both adapter drivers - nothing changed.

Thank you. I'm still waiting for an option to just turn off the lights on the lid. I'm about to put electrical tape over it because it gets so annoying.

I'm probably going to end up resetting my pc to get everything working again like photo viewer and predator sense, would you suggest I do it this way? directions to reset pc

It does not give that option, it runs me through the "setup" and asks me to remove it, the bar loads and gives me that error which is awkward.

This is still pretty redundant. I need the keyboard lighting so I can see but I dont need the lights on the lid. There should be a simple solution to this that Acer should provide- or the people that work on the predator sense software.

Thanks Thabould but I think there's an option somewhere that wouold allow me to turn it off int he power settings. the lights turn off if you leave the laptop alone for a while... i will try to find out.

No, I dont mean the keyboard light. Im talking about the light that is on the lid right by the predator logo.
