  • yeah. Check out this website and their reviews. I really like them because they actually tell you why they made their choices. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/by-resolution/4k-ultra-hd-uhd there are a couple that are pretty good. I just also got the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QZ for 1440p gaming I haven't looked to…
  • Thanks @MaClane. I'm not going to return it. I am very happy with the product as it is right now. The room that I play in is fairly bright so I don't really notice it to much. Also when turning down the screen brightness and increasing the gamma it seemed to get better. Either way, Thank you for your response. I'm going to…
  • It sounds like the only way to get the 144hz is to only use the dvi connections; meaning that your gpu would also have to have a dvi connection. read this post: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/display-port-to-dual-link-dvi-or-hdmi-to-dual-link-dvi-for-144hz.3172195/ it sounds like you got a passive dvi to dp…
  • What is listed under the Network adapters in device manger? I know that you say that everything is updated however Windows tends to use synthetic drivers instead of the manufacturer's drivers, so were you able to lookup your exact model based on the SN on the acer support site? If you have downloaded the correct one and…
  • depending on the monitor, you can create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel and set it to a higher refresh rate however this will not always work and especially with HDMI. It really depends on the hdmi port version that is on your monitor paired with the hdmi port version on your gpu. If you can I would stick…
  • looking at nvidia's g-sync compatible monitor list https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ It looks like only the KG271 Bbmiipx is g-sync compatible
  • Looks like this could be a bad driver http://windowsbulletin.com/solved-bugcode_ndis_driver-blue-screen-error-fix/ might need to find the proper driver and boot into safe mode to udpate if you can't even boot into safe mode I found this article with the same error that you are seeing…
  • Hi @Barrnuss is this the monitor that you bought? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/UM.HX1AA.002 If its the 2160p monitor it is capped out at 60hz with display port or hdmi
  • @Peter83 He is right. You have to download the device drivers from the acer support site. Once they are installed you have to go into device manager, select the monitor, choose update driver, select browse locally, let me choose from a list, uncheck show compatible drivers, search for acer, acer electronics, acr etc. and…
  • @Mathe0 I think the hdmi is only capable of 60hz on the xb271hu. You have to use a display port connection to get the 144hz. however it looks like your graphics cards hdmi connection is able to support 4k resolution up to 60hz. The hdmi port version that comes with the xb271hu is 1.2
  • @St0rm idk about the .4ms response time but I turn my overdrive setting off. Your right the OD extreme setting has inverse ghosting. What does the documentation say when you look up your product by snid on the acer support website?
  • @INDIANAJUNE2 acer support website will have the driver and icc color profile that you can download and install. Other color settings and OSD settings can be found here: https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm let me know if this helps!
  • Hi @Harshy if you do not have gsync turned on with your xb271hu you might try adjusting the 3D settings in the nvidia control panel for the applications that are causing screen tears. From my understanding tearing occurs when the gpu is sending frames at a faster rate than the monitor can handle. This is supposed to be…
  • Hi @Menno555 I would do a couple of things. 1. reset the OSD settings that you have done. 2. make sure that the drivers you have installed are taking effect and the generic pnp driver is not the one listed in device manager under the monitor tab 3. the driver package that you download from acer will have an icc profile.…
  • Oh and if you get an error when installing the driver, it might be because it is not signed and windows 10 does not allow this by default. To disable this setting follow this guide https://windowsreport.com/driver-signature-enforcement-windows-10/
  • @Xkalavous I hope that I can answer your questions. 1. That is ok; my monitor setup is the same as yours. That setting is for monitor alignment; if you set it at the very top, this is where your mouse will be able to pass to the other screen. I have mine set to the middle to have a more fluid transition. 2. The pixel just…
  • or this one https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-model/UM.HX0AA.P01
  • any one of these https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-models/monitors/predatorxb3 all are IPS panels, great color the XB273K GPbmiipprzx has a great price and if you are competitive at gaming has a 1ms gtg with VRB enabled just got one of these and love it.
  • @shane2801 yeah that sounds like a pretty decent setup. Do you have multiple monitors? also how many watts is your power supply? can you post a screen shot? might also try checking the power unit connected to your new monitor, maybe its not getting enough power?
  • Hey sorry if this has already been covered but could it be that the power supply is not providing the monitor with enough juice?
