  • The Samsung driver fixed my wi-fi problems. The wi-fi is still connected upon waking the unit from sleep! Now I'm getting ready to install the driver package that Acer support has for the W510 to see if it fixes my trackpad issue! http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=4549
  • Thanks for the tip about the updated driver on samsung's site. I just installed it and hope it helps with the issue I've been having where whenever my system awakes from sleep it has lost the wifi connection and takes a while to get it back. What good is "always on" when your network doesn't follow suit! Actually I love…
  • I'm having the same problem on a tablet I just bought from Microsoft store. I've spent hours sitting on hold or talking to people in India while they try and sort out my SNID so they can route me through to tech support. Kind of sucks.
  • My experience with my W510 is the exact opposite. My touch screen was working OK but missing some touches so I decided to run the calibration from the Tablet PC Settings in Control Panel. After I did this almost nothing worked with touch until I clicked Reset in Tablet PC Settings to delete my calibration data.
  • The W510 uses the Clover Trail processor which is a 32 bit processor and the maximum amount of memory a 32 bit processor can address is 2gb. So it's a limitation to all the Clover Trail systems. You would need a system like the W700 which uses a 64 bit processor to address memory beyond 2gb.
  • If you swipe in the Charms and select PC settings and go to Wireless you'll see option to turn on NFC (as well as Bluetooth). Not sure what you can do with it at this point but the system has it.
  • Unfortunately the problem came back. It seems reloading the drivers only fixes the problem temporarily. After running a Metro app or two that uses the microphone the problem reappears and I can't get any volume out of the microphone unless something is plugged into the output jack. The other big issue I'm having is that…
  • Cool, thanks. I didn't realize that it was different in Metro apps than it is in the desktop.
