  • I mounted the ssd with an M2X4 screw that i found in an old HDD and it worked. Thank you very much
  • Install the last realtek audio drivers from acer web site. There is a full thread of people which had the same problem (http://community.acer.com/t5/V-and-VN-Series-Laptops/VN7-592G-blue-screen-after-installed-Windows-10-Anniversary/td-p/448047/page/5), that caused a lot of BSOD too! At first the only solution was to…
  • The problem of the first post is a windows problem as thay already said, and the proof is that only some applications have this kind of problem. For example chrome doesn't have this issue, and also none of the store apps are affected. If you want to fix it for some specific programs you can leave the scaling ad 125%, and…
  • I know that there is a free slot, but as soon as sad prices lower a little bit more I would like to remove the old slow, hot and noisy HDD and put in a 500GB SSD, I lived with 500 gb for years, I don't need 1000GB, I have an external drive for that. Thank you for the answers, I will ask to Acer via chat, but I live in…
  • Ok, thank you. At the moment i don't have any tb device, let's see if someone else can update and give us a feedback
  • i don't really know, better wait for someone else. however i have the same question as before: how do i check the nvm version? I thought i found it but it looks like i was looking in the wrong place.
  • mmm in my case it worked with no issues. Did you run it as administrator? Maybe some missing driver/software?
  • Here, but as i said i was referring to 592G ps: where can i check the new version installed? (so i know if the update has been successfully installed)
  • Acer released 3 days ago a new thunderbolt firmware with NVM v15 Does this mean that there is hope for egpu? EDIT: i'm talking about vn7-592G, not 792
  • Any news about this? Will egpu be a possibility With this laptop?
  • http://community.acer.com/t5/V-and-VN-Series-Laptops/VN7-592G-blue-screen-after-installed-Windows-10-Anniversary/td-p/448047/page/4 In this topic there are other people with the same issue (and a possible solution). I really hope that this is the last time that i have to loose a week to trubleshoot this laptop.
  • i just got another BSOD: kernel security check failure Obviously after the restart the sound card isn't working anymore. I will shutdown (in the bad way) and it will be working again..... edit : It looks like windows 10 was trying to update audio drivers when i crashed. At the moment I don't know what is annoying me the…
  • Another thing. The speakers make a popping sound ad the beginning / end of the reproduction of a sound, it is noticeable especially with windows sounds (errors, devices plugged in ecc), because i hear a "pop" right in the middle of the sound. I read somewhere that it was due to some power saving mechanism, do you know how…
  • I already updated the bios to the last version, i got everything from the acer website, using my serial number. For the warranty I know, but i'm within the 8 days, so if the pc has a problem i prefer to swap with another one / return it, i don't want to send it for a repair. It would take too long.
  • mmmm so it doesn't even depend to the model... I asket on amazon and the guy who answered said that his one is ok, so i don't know what to do, should i keep asking for a replacement until i get a good one? LOL I don't think that the seller would be happy Now i've written to acer and to the seller too, i really hope that…
  • I use a lot the trackpad, i can't accept that the laptop i'll be using for 5-6 years has an issue like this ???? Every review i've seen says that it has a very good touchpad, there must be something going on with this version, maybe the 16gb model is manifacrtured in a differenti factory.... I hate the idea of bringing it…
  • Is your trackpad noisy also when you only touch it (like in the video) , without clicking? It also looks lifted on one edge, you Can see it on the video, the touchpad in One point is higer than the rest of the body
