  • Ok, great reply - thanks. Much food for thought. I did try turning off the wifi extender but it made no difference but it was only for a short time. For the record, the Virgin router gives out two different SSIDs for the 2.4ghz and 5ghz services (ie: XXX-2G and XXX-5G). The Acer laptop only offers 2.4ghz connectivity…
