  • When I open the .zip, I get an executable called Q1VZC109 and a readme that says "Please click "Q1VZC109.exe" to update bios." This helps not at all, since I cannot execute it on a machine that won't boot

  • Huh. I copied the link from the page with my drivers, or thought I did... Lemme look. Yep- that's all it says on the URL. It gives me a choice of a Windows 8 BIOS (not for upgrades, it says) and a version 1.09. I don't have Win 8. My model is A0756 (is that a zero or an 'oh'?) Thanks, Chris

From what I've read, you need to find your model on the Acer support website, and download the BIOS onto a freshly formatted pen drive of 2 GB or less. Use FAT to format the pen drive.
