  • thanks but you are very forgiving. some traditions would hold this is an abnormal procedure due to an error by some entity. i hate jumping through hoops because of a stupid error.
  • Are we or·phans or not? Is there a path out? I've checked Acer, Intel and Microsoft as best as I am able. It's a pretty dark picture so far?
  • Hi Rene, Yes I tried your suggestion from earlier on, i. e., running a batch file triggered by the system event. But it just froze the system. I'll revisit it because obviously if it works fine on your w3, then it should work on mine also. Thanks for the input But, even if I get an automated stop/start to work, I think it…
  • Thanks for the settings suggestions. As for you, they helped a bit in keeping the wifi connected to the internet. But I still have to run the bat file that was posted earlier in this thread many, many times a day to stop and start the wifi so I have full network connectivity and not "Limited" connectivity with no internet…
  • Mine cost me 181 Euro. And I have to keep it since it is past the returnable date. So will live with it. So glad yours is keeping you off the streets! LOL. Your analysis and programming sure has helped me live with this thing. The constant loss of connectivity was driving me bonkers. Thanks again very much for all the…
  • Thanks for the update Rene. I appreciate your efforts and all your discoveries. I'm glad you are one that passes on their research findings and information. Are we the only ones with this problem? I do think, though, that you should return your w3 and get your money back before it is too late. Alas, I've struggled with…
  • Thanks René - I'm glad to know there is a new driver. Hopefully it will address the issue systemically. But, I really do appreciate you posting your .bat script. That will serve us well until a vendor patch is made. Thanks again!
  • I do wonder why Acer/Broadcom/Microsoft has not fixed this one though?
  • Thanks Spider- good thinking! Thanks for the bat file advice and the clear instructions on how to implement it. Very appreciative. I too like the W3 a lot and with this solution to the wifi connectivity issue, I should think I will like it even more.
  • Did the device manager solution ultimately help? I did as suggested and still lose internet connectivity. Access will chance to "Limited" after a time and one has to reconnect, i.e.., troubleshoot or disconnect and connect again.
  • Thanks (again) - this time for the detailed list of the steps to accomplish the sync. I had already forgotten how to do it by the time I posted to the forum. Now we have the solution right here!
  • Thanks, that's what I had to do too - sync internet time. Took me a while to figure it out. I'm glad I was able to find the way to sync the time on the PC with internet via Google. Thanks for your input.
