  • So, I just shutdown the laptop after nearly 2 days of being on (had put it on sleep intermittently), as soon as it shut down, it refused to boot up again. :'(
  • My P643M has only 2 color Battery LED, red for Charging and Blue for battery full/on AC Power. Your hypothesis on the battery does make sense but the only argument against this is that no matter whatever is wrong with the battery, the laptop should've booted up fine when connected to the charger without the battery…
  • So, I left it plugged in again last night and when I woke up in the morning, a Red Battery charging LED was glowing (this was different as in previous cases Blue LED would usually glow which would then still continue to glow even when the charger was removed). I pressed the power button now and the laptop booted up as if…
  • No response in that case as well, no LED lights up, no boot. After a day of being dead I've noticed 2 weird things happening 1. If the charger is kept connected for a long period of time, the blue battery LED lights up randomly at some point of time and gets stuck in that state until the battery is removed.2. The hard…
  • I've checked the charger on another Acer Aspire E5-575g that I own and it does charge that laptop and the charger that shipped with the Aspire also has no effect on the travelmate. Don't have a Multimeter to check the exact figures though. I waited almost 30 mins before replugging the battery but still nothing, I guess…
  • Tried the Power Reset, did not work. Still no response from the laptop, no indicator lighting up even on connecting the charger with or without the battery. One peculiar thing just happened though, I had left the charger connected and left the laptop unattended for 15-20mins , when I returned I saw the Blue Battery LED had…
  • Hi, my order for B156HAN01.2 just got cancelled as the seller did not have the exact panel. Would you know if my laptop supports the 40 Pin Connector or the 30 Pin? Reconfirming because one version of my current B156XTN07.0 has the 40 Pin Connector as shown on Panelook (ID 27217) which is also what you've compared against…
  • One last question, I just installed HWinfo and it names my current Panel as B156XTN07.0. Panelook has 2 major variants for this panel HWAA with a 40 Pin Connector and HW0A with a 30 Pin Connector. Any way to determine which connector my Laptop would be using?
  • In that case will go with B156HAN01.2. Just ordered one from Ebay, will have to wait probably 20-21 days for it to reach me. Fingers crossed with the installation, though in the videos I've seen, looks like its pretty easy to do with the 575G series.
  • Thanks for the quick and prompt response. Which one would you recommend? I'm inclined towards B156HAN01.2 but it is a Non IPS display. I'm inclined towards AUO as another Acer Laptop that I own (Travelmate P643M) has AUO as well which has been going strong since 2012.
  • Hi, Bringing up this old thread. I have this exact machine and just discovered that changing the screen is possible. Can someone help me understand if the above screen suggestions still hold good or if there are like newer screens with better specs that I can go with? Thanks
