The just annouced Aspire Switch 12... has a Trackpoint! Is this the first Acer device to use a Trackpoint? Acer... please tell me you are rebuilding the R7, but with a trackpoint instead of the trackpad. This would have been the only thing that could have made the R7 better.

I hope Acer hasn't given up on this design. I love my 572. So much in fact, I would buy a next generation version i7 for personal use. I use my 572 for business. I also hope they will expand the next generation line to include various sizes. A 13" design would be nice... And I'm still waiting for a lenovo-like trackpoint…

Looks like the website is in development. This is from the Canadian website it appears: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/CA/content/compare/NX.M94AA.003-NX.M9UAA.004 When you compare the two, battery life on the R7-572 appears to gain only an hour with Haswell. 5.5 Hrs vs 4.5 hrs.

I hope they are taking so long because they are fixing everything that was wrong with the first model. They rushed it to market to coincide with the Star Trek film, plain and simple.
