The problem is that this acer model does not have a keyboard that is directly removable without taking the entire top cover off. the top cover is actually used to provide separation between the keys. see the picture above

Sorry to be a pain but this laptop seems different. I have changed keyboards on acer laptops many times but this one is different. As the picture i attached above shows the individaul keys aonly protrude the the cover of the laptop. It looks like the entire top has to come off the expose the keyboard. Simialr to a macbook…
