All I can think of is that the battery is not what they said it was. The white sticker on the lower right seems to indicate this is not actually kt.00403.040, despite what the order paperwork says it is. I'll keep you updated.

Billsey - Just a follow up. I swapped the battery but now the laptop does not seem to detect it. Is there a software setting I need to do? I tried the paper clip reset and also holding the power button for 30 seconds but neither worked. The new battery I installed is marked as AP18C8K. The receipt states it is kt.00403.040.

Thanks billsey! But I have a Spin 5, not a Spin 3. Just out of curiosity, where did you find this info? If they are interchangeable between a Spin 5 and Spin 3, do I understand this right - any of the three batteries should work?

Blu-ray is an optical disc format, much like CDs and DVDs. While producing CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs, data is encoded in pits, creating a spiral track.
