  • Acer told me to try this too over the phone but it did not work. They quoted me almost $800 for them to fix it. Well I then spoke to a PC tech friend and they walked me through jumpstarting it with a screwdriver and it fired up and I changed the setting back to normal and now the power button works just fine again.
